Brantford Warriors and Wilmot Wild met in a home-and-home series this weekend with each team in a battle for position in the upcoming OJCLL playoffs. After winning on the road 8-6 Friday night in Brantford the Wild finished off the weekend set with a 7-2 victory on Sunday afternoon.

With the pair of victories Wilmot Wild (11-6-0) have clinched third place in the OJCLL West with 22 points. They will host the sixth seed in the first round of the division playoffs in a best-of five series.

Eric Snyder scored four goals while adding a pair of assists to lead the Wild on Friday. Travis Riebot added two goals and two assists while Chase Forsythe, Cole Main and Ben Markle each added a goal.

Goaltender Aidan Kelly stopped 27 shots while giving up six to earn the victory in net.

Snyder again led the offense on Sunday scoring twice with three assists. EJ Keleher also scored a pair along with a helper. It would be plenty enough as Emmett Styres was excellent between the pipes, making 34 saves while allowing just two goals.

Main (one goal, two assists), Forsythe (one goal, one assist) and Ethan Wardan (one goal, one assist) also scored for the Wild. Riebot added a pair of helpers in the 7-2 win.
