Game winner by Dawson Bloch has Wild on verge of advancing

It took the entire 60 minutes to find a winner in Game 3 between Wilmot Wild and Barrie Bombers. With the series even at 1-1 the Game 3 winner would take control of the best-of five series.

A tightly contested game throughout, Dawson Bloch proved to be the hero scoring the game winner with just 1:14 remaining to help the visitors win 8-7. Wilmot now hold a 2-1 series advantage.

Barrie scored first in the contest, but goals from Joel Snider and Eric Snyder quickly gave the Wild an early lead. The Bombers would score a pair before first intermission to lead 3-2.

The host Bombers opened the second frame with a goal, which turned out to be the largest margin for either team in the game. Wilmot then went on a four-goal run with tallies by Snyder, Chase Forsythe, Bloch and EJ Keleher to take a 6-4 lead early in the third.

Barrie battled back to tie the game 6-6 with 6:28 to go before Forsythe restored the Wild lead. Tye Burke would score his second of the game at 2:27 to even things again before the Bloch winner less than a minute later.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday night in Barrie. Game time 8:00 PM at the Peggy Hill Community Centre.
